Old houses in Cádiz and Andalusia often have special qualities: mature spaces, thick walls, inner patios, high ceilings, timber beams, lime finishes, natural stone and old floor tiles.

The LISTA and its General Regulation govern central questions concerning building permits, land, existing buildings, changes of use and construction projects in Andalusia.

Before buying a plot of land in Andalusia, it should be checked whether, and to what extent, the land can actually be built on.

Unauthorised buildings or buildings that do not comply with planning regulations can create significant legal risks when buying, converting or selling a property.

Building and renovating in Andalusia is not automatically much cheaper than in Germany. Standards, the existing building, the plot, utilities, permits and the availability of reliable contractors are decisive factors.
